Throughout my last twenty years on the board of the Syosset Soccer Team, my top priority has always been the safety and well-being of the kids.

I worked hard to improve field conditions and create a better playing environment for them.

As maintenance manager, I ensured the grass was properly cut, facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the necessary equipment was provided. Still, I always strived to uphold even higher standards that I believed they deserved.

In recent years, the park faced several challenges, including drainage issues and poor lighting, gradually diminishing its functionality and charm. Recognizing the impact these issues had on both safety and play quality, I remained committed to pushing for necessary improvements.

After years of advocating for change, I am thrilled to announce the park’s recent acquisition and its upcoming ownership transfer to the town of Oyster Bay. Nassau County, the former owners of Stillwell Woods Park, and the town have committed a total of $12 million to revitalize the park and unlock its full potential.

With this exciting development, all leagues using the park will benefit from upgraded facilities, Oyster Bay residents will have enhanced access to its natural beauty, and the Syosset Soccer Team will gain additional budget flexibility for better equipment and infrastructure.

I would like to thank everyone for contributing to this incredible project!
