Donating a Fig Tree to the North Bellmore Library Garden

Updated: Aug 21, 2025

Todd Cirella donates one of his homegrown Brown Turkey fig trees to the North Bellmore Public Library.

Grown from a cutting and producing over 40 figs last season, this tree is now set to thrive in the library’s community green space. Todd chats with Eric from the library about the garden plans, including their collaboration with a local beekeeper and the addition of three active beehives.

As a proud member of the Long Island Fig Network with over 20 fig trees, Todd shares his passion by giving back—offering not just the tree, but fertilizer and fig-growing tips to help the library’s garden flourish.
